RRoD

I was visited by the Red Ring of Death today, no more than two hours after writing an article about being an achievement whore. Coincidence? Probably not.

Daily Froth – 21/2

This week’s Warp Pipe is completed. Final Fantasy I and II for PSP and No More Heroes for Wii look to be the next review assignments. Off to Queensland for a wedding, not back until Tuesday evening.

Daily Froth – 19/2

Art of Fighting Anthology review complete. Never seen a classic compilation that’s so bare bones. First two games in the series are tosh, but the third is pretty good. Price here is a ripoff – $49.95, yet it can be found freely in the UK for about 20 bucks. Aussie publishers complain that the cost of doing business is associated with being forced to do business via UK arms, but it sounds like a lot of phooey when seeing examples like the one above.

Forums offline

Can’t seem to stem the flow of spammers joining the forums, even after setting registration to admin approval only, so I’m taking the forums offline til I figure out a solution. Not that anyone but the spammers used it, anyway.

Wait, what?

Atari wants you to pay $109.95 for Beautiful Katamari, despite the fact We Love Katamari and Me and My Katamari were budget priced.

I recommend that Atari can go suck a tailpipe that we leave this one on the shelves – particularly when it’s not up to scratch compared to the first and second games.

Missing: My motivation

For some reason, I just haven’t felt like writing this week. It’s a bit of a problem considering it’s my livelihood, but there’s just nothing exciting happening in the world, and I have a shelf full of awesome games like Super Mario Galaxy, Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune, Ratchet & Clank: Tools of Destruction, Mass Effect, Metroid Prime 3: Corruption, etc. that have barely been played. That, and I’ve been achievement whoring to a scary degree.

Time to have a little fun, I guess.

Sorry about the mess

Just configuring the blog component of the site, making it pretty and such. Real thing should be going in a few days.
